Had the pleasure of almost getting thrown out of someone’s office yesterday when I tried to make the point that perhaps we have a way to get people to prepare for an emergency against their will. He was some VC Angel who’s only interest, rightfully so, is making money. Education he bellowed, is too damn expensive! Here’s the worst part, he’s right. Chasing this dream of trying to get people to transcend their resistance to emergency preparedness is a tough road to hoe. Focusing on the part of my business, as a WBE that works with the government, corporate and incentive business is a smarter plan. Am I ready to abandon my One Woman Crusade To Make America Safer, nah. I just have to focus on the other parts of the business so I can dabble in emergency education.
